Killer bees invade USA.

It’s hard to know what’s worse: the ridiculous special effects or the dreary direction. Or perhaps it’s Olivia de Havilland’s southern accent. Some kind of all-time booby prize should go to Stirling Silliphant’s screenplay: it’s the kind of film in which people are telling each other things they must already know, and the dialogue is of unsurpassed banality.

Classic lines include "They're more virulent than the Australian brown box jellyfish" (Henry Fonda, playing an immunologist) and "I'm going to be the first officer in US battle history to get his butt kicked by a mess of bugs! (Richard Widmark).
