A hit title song (music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Sammy Cahn) helped make this a big hit of the 50s; and Milton Krasner's travel-brochure cinematography won him an Academy Award. Years afterwards, it looks a very routine, stodgy romantic drama. A decade later, director Negulesco remade the film but set it in Madrid, as The Pleasure Seekers |
