Deliberately ludicrous parody of Rififi and other heist thrillers. Despite a slow start and a half-hearted attempt to insert some love interest, it was a hit in Italy and America thanks to a host of fine sight gags. It may be a one-joke picture, but at least that joke is explored to the full. It was remade by Louis Malle, with a San Francisco setting, as Crackers (1984).
