Girl Most Likely is a comedy misfire, in which Kristen Wiig (pictured left) from Bridesmaids plays an emotionally accident-prone thirtysomething who has to move back in with her flaky mother (Annette Bening, right), even though her bedroom has been rented out to a Backstreet Boys tribute act, and mom is having an affair with a weird guy (Matt Dillon) who claims to be in the CIA.

Michelle Morganís script piles on the quirkiness without ever generating enough laughs. Directors Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini made the entertaining and innovative American Splendor, but this is nowhere near the same class.

Not even Wiig, an accomplished comedienne and a warm onscreen presence, can breathe life into this one.
