A dashing young adventurer (Robert Taylor) falls in love with the lady his uncle wants to marry.

Robert Taylor was really too old to play the hero; but a spectacular Pre-Raphaelite production, exciting action sequences, fine character acting and a charming heroine in Kay Kendall combine to make this an entertaining swashbuckler.
