|
Patchy comedy adapted (insufficiently) from four playlets, with almost no narrative and too numerous shifts of mood. Pryor and Cosby's segments don't come off at all, and even the better segments involving Maggie Smith and Jane Fonda are very talky and theatrical. Simon's dialogue is witty, though, and there are laughs to be had.
