An accident traps some people in a road tunnel between Manhattan and New Jersey.

Released in the aftermath of a fire in the Channel Tunnel, this disaster movie could scarcely have been more topical; but the plot is drivel, even by Stallonian standards.
For most of the time, it’s hard to know where the characters are, or what’s going on, or why. The characters are such a tedious lot that it’s hard to care what happens to any of them. The dialogue doesn’t bear thinking about, let alone speaking, and the few lines that do exist are either yelled by Stallone, in which case his diction renders them indecipherable, or they are drowned out by some explosion or other.
That fine actress Claire Bloom appears in a demeaning role which gives her little to do except die of hypothermia. The sight of her sitting cold , confused and without the will to live pretty much summed up my reaction to the whole movie.
Stallone had made entertaining contributions to the action genre, such as Demolition Man and Cliffhanger, but charging people to see this shambles looked suspiciously like Daylight robbery.
