Double bill of two short stories by James Conrad and Stephen Crane.

In The Bride Comes to Yellow Sky, Robert Preston plays a sheriff trying to keep the peace despite the efforts of gunfighter Minor Watson. In The Secret Sharer, James Mason plays a young sea captain taking command of his first ship.
The two halves of this double bill don't really have much connection with each other, or lay any great claim to cinematic immortality, but they're workmanlike adaptations co-written by the well-known film critic, James Agee, and James Mason turns in a performance which established him as a talent in Hollywood.
