Bank clerk James J. Corbett (Errol Flynn, pictured right) turns world-beating prize-fighter.

Entertaining sports biopic with a dynamic leading performance, energetic action well handled by director Walsh, and an unashamedly pro-boxing stance. It is, however, a highly fictitious account of its subject's life; he married three times in reality; the film confines him to one.
