During the Crusades, Saladin (Rex Harrison) visits England and is smitten by love of an English lady named Edith (Virginia Mayo).
Reviewed by Chris Tookey

The battles and other action sequences are the best part of this much maligned swashbuckler, which was surely never meant to be taken seriously. Rex Harrison (wildly miscast) and George Sanders camp it up with gusto, and the screenplay contains numerous classic, good/bad lines. Sample... Lady Edith (Virginia Mayo) to Richard the Lionheart (George Sanders): War! War! That’s all you think of, Dick Plantaganet! You burner! You pillager!”
