Tongue-in-cheek fairy story thatís occasionally too pleased with itself. All the same, it works pretty well as comic entertainment for adults, who will enjoy the wit with which ithe film parodies traditional fairy stories, and forb children, who will (especially if they are young) take the adventure at face value. There are enjoyable comc turns from Mandy Patinkin, Bily Crystal and Wallace Shawn.
