Entertaining Disney cartoon and a big improvement on its 1977 predecessor, The Rescuers. Exciting enough to enthral young audiences, and the sight gags are ingenious enough to amuse adults as well. The one disappointment lies in the voices: some (like John Candy's for Wilbur the Albatross) are excellent, but more of the actors might have made a stab at sounding Australian. The overall result is not in the Little Mermaid class, but was further proof that Disney animation was back on top form.
