In many ways, Sinbad is good summer fun, if a bit too dark and moralistic for the littlest ones in the family.

The effects are competent, the action has exciting moments and the story is interesting enough, but the parts don't add up to a compelling sum.

Sinbad is harmlessly inoffensive enough to be enjoyed by the kind of pre-teen kids who love a good swashbuckling adventure full of all those cartoon cliches, but anyone hoping for more will have to set sail on another adventure.

(Shannon J. Harvey, Sunday Times, Australia)
