Solveig Dommartin
Actress, Until The End of The World (1992)
Both leading actors, William Hurt and Sam Neill, display little comprehension of what's going on. They are further undermined by a flat, incompetent and unintentionally comic central performance from Wenders's girlfriend, Solveig Dommartin, who conceived the original idea - although if there was an original idea, it has long since been buried beneath an avalanche of pretentiousness and lost footage (the released two and a half hour version is a mere taster for an eight-hour version).
