The film as a whole looks like some unperformable Brecht play, mounted by the amateur dramatic branch of Militant Tendency. The setting is cheapskate, the dialogue risible and the anti-Thatcher, pro-IRA message so crude, that Channel Four (who commissioned it) might be well advised to cut their losses, add a laugh track and try to pass it off as the latest offering by the National Theatre of Brent.
