| Charming if over-protracted comedy thriller, second of a classic series of six. Powell and Loy confirm here that they are one of the cinema's most endearing partnerships. Their dialogue is a delight and, after a too-leisurely set-up, the direction gathers pace. James Stewart plays one of his few less than heroic roles. |
