Bawdy tales, such as Boccaccio might have written today.

Uneven, overlong compendium unworthy of its heavyweight directors, but redeemed by jolly moments, sunny good humour and much female pulchritude. Visconti's episode is the weakest. A fourth story, directed by Mario Monicelli, was dropped for international release. With this included, the film runs 210 minutes.
