| Expertly made cold-war thriller which had the ring of truth, and was undeservedly eclipsed on release by Dr Strangelove , which approached an identical theme in a more comedic manner. Excellent performances by Henry Fonda (pictured, as the US President, Walter Matthau, Frank Overton and Larry Hagman; but the whole cast is convincing. |
