| To say this yarn is improbable is like accusing the Sahara of being a bit on the dry side. The Hammer team attack this tale with relish, and Arthur Lawson's art direction is outstanding. It could all have become unbearably silly - especially as the special effects aren't up to much - but the actors remain heroically serious. Great fun. |
