| Timely anti-isolationist propaganda film, adeptly mixing comedy, romance and thrills. Billy Wilder and Charles Brackett produced a typically intelligent script, although it was the original story which won an Academy Award. A forgotten classic, with fine Oscar-nominated photography by Charles Lang, music by Victor Young and art direction by Hans Dreier and Robert Usher. |
