Teenagers don't know how to react when one of their number (Daniel Roebuck) strangles his girlfriend and leaves her on a riverbank.

Disturbing film, based on fact. Crispin Glover's hyperactive performance in the lead is a matter of taste and the film has plenty of rough edges technically, but this is one of those films which stays with you long afterwards. Many critics found its message and darkly humorous tone upsetting; but it captures more than any other film the anomie, the amorality of youth.
