ANTI Reviews

What I object to about the movie is its own failure of self-knowledge. Instead of frankly acknowledging that the 18 year-old high school seniors who are its focus are temporarily and comically insane, it indulges in rationalization as blatant as, if considerably less funny than, Benedick's. Striking the authentic note of the narcissistic nineties, it tells us that boys' and girls' "scoring" sexually, whether or not it involves any deeper emotional attachment (let alone moral commitment) is, as Stuart Smalley would say, OK.

(James Bowman, American Spectator)

Terrible: plodding, with no funny lines and nothing unpredictable in the way of plot It is Porky’s notionally updated for the 90s - ie there’s some internet porn, and one of the guys gives head. And the central rip-offf gag about a teenage boy doing it with an apple pie does not even deserve to be called sub-Philip Roth. Avoid.

(Peter Bradshaw, Guardian)

With its tedious script and meat-head acting, this is one stale pie.

(Jason Solomons, Mail on Sunday)
