Charlize Theron plays the title role, becoming increasingly put out as she moves to New York and realises that her husband (Johnny Depp), an astronaut turned arms manufacturer, is no longer her husband at all, but a parasitic alien in human form. He has also impregnated her with twins. How will she get out of giving birth, without annoying America's anti-abortion lobby?
